Oilite History

1930 - Patent obtained for Oilite powder metal self lubricating bearings.

1949 - Moved to new factory in Elton Park, Ipswich.

1960 - First production of alloy steel components.

1980 - Sophisticated steels added to material range.

2003 - Company purchased by BSA Holdings.

2006 - Oilite Bearings Ltd formed by a management buy out from BSA Holdings Ltd.
